Remarkable Herbs Mitragyna Javanica

Mitragyna Javanica is a small tree found in Southeast Asia. While Mitragyna Javanica has a similar appearance to the Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom), there are huge differences in their chemistry. Mitragyna Javanica does not contain the main alkaloids mitragynine, 7OHM, and ajmalicine, but similar compounds called mitrajavine and large amounts of 3-isoajmalicine. It supports similar effects but is a different product.

M. Javanica is very rare compared to the widely known Kratom. It is mostly not found in the outer forests and the people in Thailand use this as a substitute to kratom. Though both Kratom and M. Javanica have strong tall trunks and broad leaves, the alkaloid makeup is quite different, making Javanica less potent than Kratom in many ways. The non-active ingredient in Javanica called Ajmalicine is the one that is associated with stress relief properties. This alkaloid can also be seen in Kratom.

However, what differentiates Kratom and M. Javanica is that Kratom contains more than 40 active alkaloids in its leaves which cannot be vouched for Javanica since more research is needed on the same for evaluation.

The dosage depends on the form that you consume Mitragyna Javanica. But it is advised that you consume up to 4 grams, which is 2 grams higher than the standard dosage for beginners, in order to experience the Kratom-like effects. If you prefer tea, then you will have to use 20 grams of dried Javanica powder and boil it for half an hour so that you get the strained liquid. The Javanica tea is not as bitter as Kratom and can be consumed without any additive sweeteners.
